About the Author
Dr. Nate Lowe, president and CEO of New Day Community Centers, Inc. and Nate Lowe and Associates, earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Southern Illinois University and received his doctorate in psychology from Rockwell University. He developed and directed alcohol and drug treatment programs in Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, and California. With more than thirty years’ experience in the field of substance abuse services and treatment for drug addiction, alcoholism, and other addictive diseases, he has provided training and education for the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA), the United States Navy and Marine Corps, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. He taught substance abuse education courses at Andrews University, Shorter College, and San Diego City College and has lectured at San Diego State University and United States International University.
