"Great Expectations" program a new direction for publisher
Tucson, Ariz. - December 11, 2003 - Bookpublisher.com today launched a publishing
program designed to identify its bestselling self-published titles for targeted
book marketing. The publisher annouced it would invest its marketing dollars
in the publicity of qualified books from its pool of published titles.
"We have developed our Great Expectations publishing program not only to encourage
our authors to market their own books, but also in an effort to help us identify
those published titles of ours that we can select for further marketing and
promotion," the program announcement states at the publisher's website, http://www.bookpublisher.com.
Once an author's book, published under one of Bookpublisher.com's imprints,
has sold more than 2,000 copies, Bookpublisher.com will invest its own marketing
money to promote the book and further increase its sales. Some of the promotional
and marketing activities for titles in the Great Expectations program include
publicity campaigns, book signings, complimentary postcards, business cards,
the writing and dissemination of press releases, review copies, redesigning
the book, republishing the book as a second edition or in other formats, and
submitting the book to be stocked by bookstores nationwide.
The Great Expectations publishing program is part of an on-going desire of
Bookpublisher.com to define itself as a book publisher that combines the best
characteristics of both the print-on-demand and traditional publishing models.
Bookpublisher.com provides complete publishing services, including editing,
design, and distribution, to authors who wish to publish their books. Bookpublisher.com
is owned by Wheatmark, Inc., and is based in Tucson, Arizona.
