Sandra Casey-Martus and Carla Mancari
The Reverend Sandra Casey-Martus is an Episcopal priest, author, teacher, and cofounder of the Contemplative Invitation Teaching: Christ Centered Prayer Method. She holds a BS and an MEd from Springfield College, Massachusetts; an MTS from Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas; and a CITS from the Episcopal Seminary of Southwest in Austin, Texas. Reverend Sandy is the rector of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Wimberley,Texas. She served as associate rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church by the Sea in Santa Barbara, California; rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi, Texas; and associate rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Austin, Texas. She was vicar of St. Francis of the Tetons Episcopal Church and director of the Alta Retreat Center in Alta, Wyoming, from 1994 to 2005.
Reverend Sandy was an adjunct faculty member of the Seminary of the Southwest, and she served for many years on Contemplative Outreach’s National teaching and retreat service teams.
Carla Mancari, author, speaker, spiritual guide, and metaphysical teacher, has shared, nationally and internationally, the Christ Centered prayer method. Carla has been practicing contemplation prayer for more than forty-two years.
Carla holds a BA from the University of South Carolina and an MEd from Orangeburg University, South Carolina. She attended Brigham Young University and the American School in Switzerland.
